The Union League of Philadelphia
The classic French Renaissance-styled League House dating back to 1865, with its brick and brownstone facade and dramatic twin circular staircases leading to the main entrance, is listed in the National Historic Register. The Union League, which occupies an entire city block in the center of Philadelphia's commercial and cultural district, has hosted U.S. presidents, heads of state, industrialists, entertainers and visiting dignitaries from around the globe.
Adorning the walls and hallways is the League's distinguished art collection, a rich, historical chronicle of Philadelphia's unique imprint upon the American landscape from the nineteenth century to today. Docents will be available during the reception to answer your questions.
The Union League is a non-sectarian and non-partisan private club with a membership of nearly 3,000 men and women, ranging in age from 21 to 102 years, who represent a wide variety of backgrounds and professions.
